Advice - A Light at the End of the Tunnel - November 3, 2013

Ok so I hope we can agree that life is a path because it take us places, so if we encounter a dark spot it must be a tunnel because if it were a cave it wouldn't be a path and therefore not life. So dark places on the path are tunnels and never caves.

Now we can think of that well known quote:

"There is a light at the end of the tunnel"

Some argue there isn't one but I'd like to point something out.

In tunnels there are twists and bends and they can be indeterminably long, so we may not be able to see the light on the other side. Some say 'well who cares if you can't see it, it still isn't there!' Well actually think about a tunnel. Tunnels always lead to something new, otherwise it wouldn't be a tunnel.

So if tunnels are the only dark thing on our path and we use them to classify any dark spot like we have already established, that leaves any other spot to be brighter than the tunnel, meaning there is definitely light at the end of a tunnel.

And for people who think that their life is all tunnels and it will never be anything else consider this. Can a path start and end in a tunnel without some connection to the outside? No, because that tunnel wouldn't be able to connect to any paths so that means at some point there has to be another part to the path so that means that life cannot be all tunnels and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
